I’ve put this website together to share with you the secrets to how I went from flat broke to a highly successful saleswoman using the principles I learnt as a champion water skier.
You see I dropped out of school at 17 years of age to pursue my passion for water skiing.
I worked hard at it and became one of the best female water skiers in Australia, funding my hobby by waitressing and telemarketing.
By the time I was 28 years old, I had become Australia’s Woman Champion Slalom Water Skier.
I had reached the pinnacle of my career in skiing, only to turn my back on it and try to make a living in the real world. Champion skiers don’t earn dollars you know, just trophies!
I went from job to job and became increasingly frustrated with my lack of achievement. I tell you, going from being an Australian champion to a just a nobody is hard to live with.
And it wasn’t till I took a good hard look at my life that I discovered if I wanted to turn things around then it was up to me.
In the ensuing years I have used all the principles I learnt as a champion sports person to do just that and create a highly successful sales career.
I now enjoy a great job as a corporate executive, own a trendy villa in one of Sydney’s beachside suburbs, have invested in the international property market and have self published my first book.
It’s a wonderful feeling to look around at all I’ve achieved now and realise everything I needed to make my life a success was inside me all the time. I just had to figure out how to tap into it.
And now I want to inspire and show other women how I succeeded in the male-dominated sales industry.
I was once told that you should find what others are doing successfully and then model that for your own success. Why re-create the wheel when you can just take the model and apply it?
